Table of Contents

The 'Table of Contents' helps users quickly navigate through information dense pages by using anchor links. These links are generated automatically based on content row titles, making it a convenient option for page organization.

Tips for Creating a Table of Contents

  • The Table of Contents functions by generating anchor links to the rows beneath it. For it to function as intended, the Table of Contents should be placed either at the top of a page, or just below the introductory content, so it can index the rows beneath it.
    • Placing the Table of Contents after multiple content rows can be confusing for users, and might lead to crucial information getting missed.
  • The Table of Contents is created using row headings; each row title is its own link. To ensure all the necessary content is indexed be sure to add a new content row for each section or subject.
  • While the Table of Contents might not index all headings, following standard heading hierarchy is still important for maintaining over all accessibility.
